The Fisher Allison Race was for Gentlemen's Runabouts powered by stock engines. Although they were allowed to enter and compete Baby Gar III and Packard Baby Gar were protested as having non stock engines. This protest was upheld and in due course - a year and a half - the third place Nick Nack was declared the winner. After the initial protests nearly all entries were protested. interestingly Rainbow II was protested as a hydroplane although the matter was not decided due to her low finish.
