( The Horace Dodge Memorial Trophy was offered for competition by Horace Dodge II in memory of his father who died in 1920. The rules for the contest require that the trophy be awarded to the first boat to win four heats regardless of the number of points accumulated. )
( Dodge Trophy boats consisted of displacement craft whose width was equal to the square root of its length and whose engine cubic inch displacement equaled its length cubed divided by 25.)
After participating in the Fisher Allison Trophy Baby Gar IV was refitted with a sweepstakes power plant for the Dodge Memorial.
