Tempo VI decisively defeated the 225's at Red Bank as Notre Dame did in 1940. However the Tempo VI when running as My Sin was given loads of trouble by Tops III at Hopatcong in 1940. Tops III became Slo-mo shun II owned by Stanley Sayres of Seattle. Viper III also challenged My Sin at Washington, D.C. in 1940 when the Guy Simmons entry was driven by Jack "Pop" Cooper in the American Speedboat Championship. Viper III is now Aljo V. Tomyann III, now Tempo V, did 15 miles at 73 m.p.h. over a 2½ mile course at New Martinsville in 1941. Tops III turned a 76 m.p.h. 2½ mile lap at Red Bank in 1940.
