Harwood Trophy Plans

It was announced that the 1949 Harwood Trophy race for inboards around Manhattan Island Island probably would be held Sunday, Sept. 11 and that the sponsoring Harwood organization again would make available a $1,000 savings bond and sterling silver Harwood Trophy bowl for the winner. Those present included Jon Van Blerck Jr., Freeport, L.I., 1947 Harwood winner, and Bill Cantrell, Louisville, Ky., Last September's winner.
