# SHORT HEAT
There were three other entries in the Unlimited Class to make a high point race, but they failed to show. Lou Fageol's So Long there to run in the 7 Litre event therefore joined the field to prevent the first Maple Leaf Trophy from being a farce. After Such Crust broke in the first heat and was unable to continue, Lou Fageol in So Long was flagged off the course after one lap and awarded the trophy in the second heat.
