Gold Cuppers Race On Choptank River
Cambridge, Aug. 4—The annual Cambridge National Powerboat Regatta opened here at noon today with 150 boats expected to participate in two days of racing.
The highlight of the event will be the unlimited hydroplane class, featuring Gold Cuppers. The races will be held over a 2½ mile Choptank River Course.
Three heats will be held in the Gold Cup race. The first one will get under way at noon tomorrow followed by one at 2 p.m. and another at 4 p.m.
