Short Circuit was disqualified for jumping the gun in the final heat which prevented her from winning the race. Let's Face It was a 7 Litre that was transformed into a Gold Cupper by adding sufficient inches to her hull to meet the 20 foot Gold Cup minimum. There was no minimum for an Unlimited Hydroplane so the Conners Memorial must have been run under Gold Cup rules.
