Hydroplanes

Scott Pierce has returned to the cockpit of the U-8 unlimited hydroplane, Bill Wurster announced. The hydro was sponsored by Executone Telephones when Pierce last drove it, but now is sponsored by Mr. Pringles. Pierce last year piloted the hull to a second-place finish in the national high-point standings. He drove the Griffon Miss Budweiser the first three races this season, but lost his ride when Bud owner Bernie Little discontinued the piston-engine program. Mr. Pringles will makes its 1986 debut during next week's Columbia Cup in Tri-Cities.
