Hydroplane Drivers Make Boat Swap
The Muncey Industries unlimited-hydroplane team has revamped its lineup for the final two races of the season.
The vessels in Fran Muncey's two-boat fleet have swapped drivers and paint jobs for the races in San Diego (Sunday) and Las Vegas (Sept. 25).
Chip Hanauer will drive the boat that was built in 1986 and raced as U-31 Miss Circus Circus in last month's Seafair race. John Prevost will pilot the boat that Hanauer campaigned as U-00 Miller High Life earlier this season.
Qualifying for Sunday's regatta on San Diego's 2½-mile Mission Bay course will begin Friday.
