Five Unlimited Hydroplanes to test on the Columbia River June 10, 2016

Five Unlimited Hydroplanes will be in the Tri-Cities to test prior to the start of the 2016 H1 Unlimited Hydroplane season.
On Friday, June 10 from 9:00am – 5:00pm, race fans can see the U-1 Miss Homestreet, driven by Jimmy Shane, the reigning H1 & Gold Cup Champion; U-5 Graham Trucking, U-9 Red Dot/Les Schwab; U-18 Bucket List Racing; and a very special treat the 1977 Atlas Van Lines, “Blue Blaster”, all running test laps on the HAPO Columbia Cup course in preparation for the 2016 racing season. The boats will be staged in the Neil F. Lampson pits, right under the blue bridge. Admission is free.
During testing, boaters are reminded to avoid the race course, which is located between Wade Park, Pasco and Columbia Park, Kennewick.

The 2016 HAPO Over the River Airshow and HAPO Columbia Cup will take place July 29 – 31 on the Columbia River in Tri-Cities Washington.
